F.E. Moran Group of Companies in Champaign, IL is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Systems Designer to join our expanding team.

You will apply your knowledge of Hydratec, AutoSprink, and AutoCAD to develop code-compliant sprinkler designs and project drawings. You will read blueprints, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate installations with building teams, while complying with NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience using fire protection design software Hydratec, AutoSprink, or AutoCAD.
• Understand and comply with NFPA standards and applicable codes.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience; NICET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide code-compliant fire protection designs and drawings for projects.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations and determine pipe sizes.
• Coordinate sprinkler locations with building components and other trades.
• Ensure designs meet project timelines and client expectations.
