Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design Fire Protection Systems for diverse projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication, contributing to reliable fire protection solutions.

Required are 5+ years of fire protection design experience, an associate or technical degree, NICET preferred, and proficiency with AutoCAD and HydraCAD.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Fire Protection design experience required.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCAD experience and/or Hydratec Experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Excellent communicator and well-organized with strong work ethic.
• Regular and reliable attendance with ability to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Sprinkler systems for projects.
• Read, analyze, and interpret contract documents and drawings.
• Plan, coordinate and present to individuals and groups.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK.
• Engage in BIM modeling and field surveying; prepare fabrication lists and coordinate between trades.
• Other duties as assigned.
