W3Global is seeking a Fire Protection & Fire Alarm Design Engineer to support design, coordination, and delivery of fire protection and fire alarm systems for diverse projects. The role blends engineering design, project coordination, construction administration, and client communication.

The ideal candidate will design sprinkler and alarm systems, interpret codes, and use Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. Construction administration experience and a passion for design transitions are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with degree; or 5+ years with a high school diploma.
• Experience with fire alarm and fire sprinkler system design from schematic design through construction documentation or construction administration with interest in design transition.
• Working knowledge of building codes, NFPA standards, and industry guidelines.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

Responsabilités

• Design fire protection and fire alarm systems, including layouts, calculations, drawings, and documentation.
• Coordinate project scope, schedules, communications, and deliverables with internal teams, clients, and project leaders.
• Participate in client meetings, coordination meetings, and project planning discussions.
• Review designs for accuracy, code compliance, and NFPA standards.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing building conditions.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Review contractor submittals, perform site observations, and prepare technical reports.
• Assist with commissioning activities and resolve issues with owners, architects, and contractors.
• Coordinate with AHJs and municipal officials and other team members.
• Research and recommend appropriate fire protection systems and designs.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and project stakeholders.
• Support project scheduling, quality control, and timely delivery.
• Assist with business development and client relationships.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities with the engineering team.
