Job summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible designs and implements fire protection alarm and suppression systems to ensure safety and compliance with fire safety regulations in various environments. The Engineer will work closely with architects, engineers, and builders to integrate fire protection systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand designs and schematics.
• 5+ years’ experience in fire protection engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in fire protection design software and knowledge of building codes is essential.
• Experience in Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office skills.
• PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze potential fire hazards in buildings and new designs providing recommendations.
• Ensure all fire protections systems meet local, state, and federal fire codes and standards.
• Stay updated on fire safety technologies and techniques, conducting experiments and field tests to evaluate new systems and materials.
• Design fire alarm, fire suppression, and life safety systems.
