Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering, LLC is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to ensure structural safety during fire events and to develop comprehensive fire protection systems, including sprinklers and alarms. The role emphasizes analysis of fire risks, code compliance, and evacuation planning.

The engineer will collaborate with a highly technical team, produce detailed construction drawings, and support project success from design through construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering or a closely related field is required.
• 1-3 years of fire protection design experience.
• E.I.T. certification preferred but not required.
• PE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produces detailed construction drawings across all disciplines.
• Coordinates with internal team members to support project success.
• Designs compliant and effective fire protection and fire alarm systems.
• Assists with submittal reviews, RFIs, and construction-phase documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering or closely related field

1-3 years of fire protection design experience

E.I.T. certification preferred

PE certification or active licensure pursuit is a plus
