Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Fire Protection Sprinkler Helper to assist the Sprinkler Fitter with the assembly and installation of fire protection sprinkler systems on various job sites within our new construction division.

The role requires basic math, tool knowledge, and the ability to travel to multiple job sites as assigned. Prior sprinkler experience and a HS diploma or GED are preferred; compensation will be determined by experience and location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months construction or fire protection/sprinkler experience; or equivalent vocational training.
• Knowledge of basic tools and materials.
• Understands and practices the proper use of power and hand tools.
• Must be able to multi-task, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systems.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Selects specified type and size of pipe.
• Cuts, threads and hangs pipe.
• Assists in the installation of valves, couplings and other fittings.
• Assists in the lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
• Follows proper construction practices and company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
