Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Fire Protection Sprinkler Helper to assist the Sprinkler Fitter with assembling and installing sprinkler systems, and to perform inspections, deficiencies, and repairs on various job sites within our new construction division. Candidates should have at least 6 months in construction or fire protection, basic math, and the ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months construction or fire protection/sprinkler experience.
• Knowledge of basic tools and materials.
• Must be able to multi-task, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systems
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Selects specified type and size of pipe
• Cuts, threads and hangs pipe
• Assists in the installation of valves, couplings and other fittings
• Assists in the lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation
• Follows proper construction practices and company policy
• Performs other duties as assigned
