Job summary
Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Sprinkler Helper to assist the Sprinkler Fitter with the assembly and installation of fire protection sprinkler systems, installing sprinkler pipe, inspections, deficiencies, and repairs on various job sites within our new construction division.
You will inspect, repair, test, and install pipe, valves and fittings, while following instructions and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months construction or fire protection/sprinkler experience, or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
- Knowledge of basic tools and materials.
- Understands and practices the proper use of power and hand tools.
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systems.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Selects specified type and size of pipe.
- Cuts, threads and hangs pipe.
- Assists in the installation of valves, couplings and other fittings.
- Assists in the lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- Follows proper construction practices and company policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
