Job summary

State Systems, Inc. in Jackson, TN is seeking a Sales/Service Technician to handle installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems on-site. You will sell services in the assigned territory, service extinguishers and lighting, and build strong customer relationships.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and ability to work outdoors. Competitive compensation with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Physically capable of lifting 75 lbs., climbing ladders up to 12 ft., and working in various conditions.
• Willingness to work outdoors and handle materials that may be skin or respiratory irritants (MSDS available).

Responsibilities

• Sell fire protection services and products within assigned territory while maintaining sales/service quotas.
• Inspect, service, and install fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit/emergency lighting.
• Identify new prospects using creative lead generation strategies.
• Present proposals and highlight the advantages of State Systems’ solutions.
• Follow up with potential clients and process work orders promptly.
• Service existing customers and build long-term relationships.
• Complete all reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
