Job summary

State Systems is seeking a Fire Protection Sales/Service Technician for the Jonesboro, AR area. The role blends sales and hands-on service, letting you install and inspect extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit lighting while building new client relationships.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong communication, organizational, and mechanical skills, willing to travel nights and weekends. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

FIRE PROTECTION SALES/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

State Systems, the leading fire protection company in the Mid-South, is growing and is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our successful team in the Jonesboro, AR area.

This position is great for self-starters who enjoy working independently but also being part of a collaborative team. This job is also a great opportunity for those who enjoy sales/service as well as meeting and talking to new people. Job Duties:

• Sells services and products within assigned territory, maintaining assigned sales/service quota and following established guidelines.
• Identify prospects utilizing creative lead generating techniques.
• Present sales presentation and proposal to prospects, identifying positive features and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition.
• Follow up with prospects.
• Inspect, service, install fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit/emergency lighting.
• Process work orders and complete all paperwork in accordance with approved and standardized procedures.

Physical Requirements & Exposures:

• Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
• Must be able to carry 50 pounds repeatedly
• Must be able to push greater than 100 pounds as needed
• Must be able to pull greater than 100 pounds as needed
• Must be able to safely climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 12 ft.
• Constant (5-8hrs/shift) standing, walking, handling items, and eye/hand/foot coordination
• Frequently (2-5hrs/shift) lifting, carrying, repetitive motions, noise exposure, grasping items
• Occasionally (up to 2hrs/shift) sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, balancing, reaching, crouching, exposure to weather

This position may require the handling of chemicals that may be skin and/or respiratory irritants. Person may also be exposed to ventilation areas which may have respiratory irritation. Must not be skin and respiratory sensitive to these materials and environments. MSDS are available.

Compensation

Compensation packages are commission based, rewarding hard working people for their efforts. Potential compensation for the first year is $40,000 to $60,000, with the potential for top performers to earn more in subsequent years.

Candidates must live in Jonesboro, AR or surrounding areas.

Candidates must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening
