Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in California seeks a seasoned Fire Sprinkler/Fire Suppression Project Manager to oversee sprinkler projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate field technicians, liaise with clients, ensure code compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fire protection systems, 5+ years of project management experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the fire protection industry, focusing on sprinkler/suppression systems.
• Project management certifications are highly desirable.
• Proven project management experience, ideally in a service-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple fire sprinkler/fire suppression projects including installations, repairs, maintenance, retrofits, and inspections.
• Primary point of contact for clients, technicians, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Develop project scopes, estimates, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and performance.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, AHJ regulations, and safety standards.
• Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and field service dispatching.
• Maintain accurate records including reports and customer documentation.
• Assist with troubleshooting and provide solutions for system deficiencies.
• Support sales by identifying service opportunities and recommendations.
• Delegate work to team members and lead interdepartmental project efforts.
• Conduct cost analyses, estimate project costs, and prepare budgets.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigation recommendations.
