Job summary

Total Fire Protection, based in Queens, NY, is seeking a Production Technician to handle inventory, extinguisher reconditioning, and fulfill service-call pick tickets under guidance from the Production Manager. Training is available for the right candidates.

As a full-time role, you will contribute to portable extinguishers operations, maintain a safe shop environment, and support the team with daily tasks and shop upkeep. Our culture emphasizes core values and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• GED, High School diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid and current state driver’s license.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods; able to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Live Our Values and support company strategy and growth initiatives.
• Perform cleaning, painting, and applying stickers and signage.
• Maintenance, testing, and repairs of extinguishers.
• Refilling and recharging extinguishers to return to active service.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Manage materials and inventory throughout the shop and storage areas.
• Assist Field Service Technicians with daily material and stocking needs.
• Prepare shop and fleet vehicles for daily work requirements.
• Perform other hands-on daily tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager or team.
