Job summary

S.A. Comunale seeks an Inspector Trainee to perform NFPA-based inspections of water-based fire systems, fire alarms, and extinguishers. Travel to customer sites is required in a fast-paced environment focusing on customer development, quality work, and NFPA code understanding.

Essential duties include basic troubleshooting, inspecting various NFPA systems, completing reports, and scheduling daily inspections while expanding the company’s capabilities with clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• NICET certification required.
• Must be mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Perform NFPA 25 based inspections on Wet, Dry, Deluge, Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems and Fire Pumps.
• Perform NFPA 72 based inspections on Fire Alarm systems and components.
• Perform NFPA 25/Standpipe inspections on Standpipe Systems and Fire Hydrants.
• Perform NFPA 10 based inspections on Fire Extinguishers.
• Describe system issues to owners and service managers for repairs.
• Self-schedule daily inspections and submit tickets/reports timely.
• Upsell the Company’s capabilities to new and existing customers.
