Job summary

State Systems, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Sales / Service Technician in Little Rock, AR. The role blends hands-on service with consultative sales, building customer relationships and working with mechanical systems.

You will service and inspect fire protection equipment, identify sales opportunities, and grow an assigned territory. This is a field-based position with earning potential through commissions and long-term growth for top performers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Customer-focused with consultative sales approach.
• Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness for nights, weekends, and travel; full-time.
• Must reside in Huntsville, AL or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Sell fire protection services and products within an assigned territory while meeting quotas.
• Identify and pursue new prospects using lead-generation techniques.
• Present sales proposals and educate customers on product benefits.
• Follow up with prospects and existing customers to build long-term relationships.
• Inspect, service, and install fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit/emergency lighting.
• Perform on-site evaluations to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Process work orders and complete paperwork per procedures.
• Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance.
