Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Service Field Manager to lead the service department, driving operational and financial performance and growth. You will guide technicians, coordinate training, and partner with HR to recruit and retain skilled staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in service, inspections, repairs, installs and retro-fits of Fire Alarm or other fire protection systems preferred.
• Thorough understanding of workflow processes, service operation metrics and customer centric mentality.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards and local codes.
• NICET Level II certification preferred.
• Effective communication; concise, clear in writing and speaking.
• Active listening and collaboration with teams.
• Complex problem solving and prioritization across tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational and financial performance of the service department; drive growth and efficiency.
• Plan annual department goals, headcount, and growth projections with branch/general managers.
• Recruit, train, and retain service technicians with HR support.
• Provide guidance on training and performance reviews; manage disciplinary actions.
• Mentor team members and ensure timely completion of certifications.
• Coordinate meetings and foster open communication within the service team.
• Support sales through market leads and price optimization.
• Ensure service contracts are reviewed, scheduled, and executed to meet customer needs.
