Jobot is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager in Los Angeles to lead detailed cost estimation and budgeting for fire protection projects. You will analyze plans, coordinate with engineers, clients, and subcontractors, and leverage AutoCAD/Bluebeam to prepare accurate estimates.

The role requires at least 5 years of construction estimation experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Competitive salary and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and other relevant software.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in fire protection, specifically Fire Sprinkler System Design.
• Strong skills in project estimation and budgeting.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Conducting risk analysis and providing strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
• Collaborating with Engineers, Architects, Clients, Contractors, and Subcontractors on project cost estimates.
• Utilizing specialized software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam) for the preparation of estimates.
• Designing and estimating fire protection systems, specifically Fire Sprinkler System Design.
• Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Preparing reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
