Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern to contribute to a multidisciplinary design team in a hands-on student role. You will assist with fire protection system design, code research, and documentation under supervision, gaining exposure to REVIT/AutoCAD workflows and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• Incoming junior, senior or graduate standing; courses in fire protection are a plus.
• Office environment with potential field exposure and site visits.
• Basic knowledge of building and fire codes is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research on fire protection codes and design decisions.
• Support layout of fire protection systems in REVIT or AutoCAD.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations and write technical reports.
• Assist with design drawings, specifications, and presentations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and designers on project deliverables.
