Job summary

Stantec Buildings is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern to join a multidisciplinary design team in the United States. You will assist with fire protection design, code research, hydraulic calculations, and CAD drafting under experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an ABET-accredited degree and have basic knowledge of NFPA standards, Revit, and AutoCAD. The role includes site visits, report writing, and collaboration with architects and engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• Incoming junior/senior or graduate student status.
• Completion of fire protection courses is a plus.
• Ability to work in office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of fire protection systems including sprinklers and alarms.
• Support hydraulic calculations and code research for projects.
• Prepare drawings and technical reports under supervision.
• Contribute to design documents and coordination with teams.
• Participate in site visits and project deliverables as needed.
