Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join a team of licensed engineers designing complex fire protection systems.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting fire sprinkler, special hazards, fire pumps, alarm, and life safety analyses while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will work on projects across the United States and around the world, with mentorship and training to develop technical

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program for Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or related field.
Completion of at least two years of college coursework.
Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Support the design of fire sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification systems, and life safety/code analyses.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in real project work.
Develop technical and professional skills through hands-on training and mentorship.
Contribute to projects across markets including commercial, federal, mission critical, and advanced facilities.
