Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Fire Protection Engineering Interns for the Life Sciences North America team across multiple locations in the United States. You will assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of fire protection systems for advanced facilities, under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The role covers sprinkler systems, special hazards, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and life safety codes, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams throughout design and construction.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis and implementation of fire protection systems for facilities.
• Assist in designing sprinkler systems, special hazards, fire pumps and building/life safety systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during design and construction phases.
