Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Life Sciences North America team.

The role focuses on supporting design, analysis, and implementation of fire protection systems in advanced facilities, under seasoned engineers. You’ll help design sprinklers, special hazards suppression, fire pumps, and life safety systems while coordinating with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, analysis, and implementation of fire protection systems.
• Design sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during design and construction.
• Assist with building/life safety code compliance.
