Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern to join our Life Sciences North America team in various locations. You will support the design and analysis of fire protection systems for advanced facilities, under guidance of experienced engineers.

You’ll work on sprinkler systems, special hazards, fire pumps and alarms, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams during design and construction to ensure codes compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, analysis and implementation of fire protection systems for facilities.
• Assist in designing sprinkler systems, special hazards, pumps, and alarms.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across design and construction phases.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA and ICC codes and standards.
