Jacobs in Dallas, TX is searching for an Entry Level Fire Protection Engineer to join our Federal team and work with licensed engineers on challenging projects spanning Commercial, Federal, Mission Critical, and Advanced Facilities. You will design and produce fire protection systems while learning from experienced professionals.
You will gain hands-on experience in fire sprinkler design, life-safety analyses, and building codes, with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, in a hybrid work
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology, or related field.
- Previous internship related to Fire Protection, Building Design or Life Saving Systems.
- Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- U.S. Citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Design and production of fire sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification, and building/life safety codes analysis.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across geographies to deliver high-quality work at a fast pace.
- Learn and develop fire protection engineering skills on the job under the guidance of senior engineers.
