Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to support standard engineering tasks, update designs, and assist lead engineers across market segments in Orlando, FL. The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and applying engineering techniques in real projects.

Applicants should be pursuing a Fire Protection Engineering degree, preferably with ABET accreditation, and must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
