Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Civil/Systems Engineering; fire protection credentials preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing with fire safety focus.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and building code compliance.
• Proficient CAD, BIM and 3D modeling for designs.
• Experience with project management and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems using CAD and BIM.
• Perform building code analyses for NFPA and standards.
• Compute design calculations for fire suppression, detection, alarm.
• Lead project schedules and manage multiple projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate systems.
• Review mechanisms and ensure compatibility with infrastructure.
• Oversee construction of fire protection installations.
• Provide technical guidance within project teams.
• Research new fire safety technologies for proposals.
• Perform root cause analysis for system failures.
