The Fire Protection Engineer at HED will take independent ownership of portions of project design and documentation from concept through construction, contributing to calculations, code research, QAQC, and coordination across disciplines.

This role aims to deepen technical knowledge, begin client interactions, and develop leadership capabilities while mentoring junior designers in modeling, documentation standards, and calculation methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• P.E. licensure is required.
• 5+ years in the AEC industry preferred.
• Revit experience required.

Responsabilités

• Lead design development and calculations for fire protection systems.
• Prepare technical descriptions, narratives, and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate fire protection design with internal disciplines and external consultants.
• Perform field verification and construction observation visits.
• Begin mentoring designers and interns in software use and documentation standards.
