HED is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to take ownership of design, calculations, and documentation from concept through construction with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes mentoring, QAQC, and cross-disciplinary coordination within a hybrid work model, offering growth toward engineering leadership.

Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree, PE licensure, Revit experience, and 5+ years in the AEC industry.

Qualifications

• This role requires a BE degree and PE licensure with 5+ years in the AEC industry.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail are essential.
• Proficiency in Revit and coordination across disciplines is expected.

Responsabilités

• Lead design development and calculations for fire protection systems across project phases.
• Perform fire protection design tasks incl. calculations, equipment sizing, and code checks.
• Prepare system descriptions, narratives, and equipment schedules.
• Develop and review layouts in Revit with coordinating teams.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Review RFIs/submittals and participate in field verifications and QAQC.
