1. Code Appliance:
   • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local fire protection codes and regulations to ensure compliance in building design and construction.
   • Implement NFPA and IBC codes and regulations, recognizing construction types and occupancy loads.
2. System Design:
   • Design fire protection systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and smoke control systems.
   • Conduct calculations and analysis to assess system effectiveness.
3. Plan Review:
   • Review architectural and engineering plans for fire protection features and compliance.
4. Life Safety Planning:
   • Develop and review emergency response and evacuation plans to enhance safety.
5. Project Coordination:
   • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers for seamless integration of fire protection measures.
6. Documentation:
   • Prepare reports, specifications, and related documentation.
7. Inspection and Testing:
   • Conduct on-site inspections and oversee testing and commissioning of fire systems.
8. Risk Assessment:
   • Identify fire hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
9. Quality Assurance:
   • Ensure compliance with quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
10. Client Interaction:
    • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to address inquiries and meet project goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Knowledge of NFPA and IBC codes.
• Experience with federal projects and regulations is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
