Job summary

Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Professional Intermediate to join an engineering company in Arlington, VA on a 5-year contract.

You will design fire protection systems, act as Designer of Record, manage budgets, supervise junior staff, and coordinate with clients, with REVIT proficiency and DoD/government knowledge preferred.

This is a W2 contract with $72.00–$82.00 per hour, no PTO and no benefits; an ACA-supplement package is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in fire protection or related engineering field.
• At least 4 years of Fire Protection design experience.
• Proficiency in REVIT is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as Designer of Record for Fire Protection design projects including schedule, budget, delegation of work, and sealing/stamping drawings and specs.
• Gather information, interview stakeholders, perform calculations, and prepare rough layouts.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders; manage RFI's and Change Orders.
• Design fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm layouts complying with ICC, NFPA, and IBC/IFC codes.
• Provide field administration and documentation management for assigned projects.
