Job summary

ASR International Corporation in the Puget Sound area of Bremerton, WA is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to provide design and technical support for NAVFAC Northwest. The engineer will review active and passive fire protection systems across diverse facility types and coordinate with design teams.

Candidates should have at least six years of relevant experience, a builder's knowledge of fire protection, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and Microsoft Office. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related accredited field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant design or design management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fire protection systems for facilities; DoD NAVFAC experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Revit experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to pass security background check.

Responsibilities

• Review and support fire protection engineering for new and existing facilities, including analysis, plans, specifications, calculations, and estimates.
• Evaluate water-based and chemical-based fire suppression systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, fire alarm/detection and mass notification systems, smoke control, and life safety.
• Ensure compliance with DoD UFC, NFPA standards, and applicable codes.
• Provide technical recommendations and coordinate with design teams and government stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and support status reporting requirements.
