Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Fire Protection Technician to provide design support and subject matter expertise across fire protection, life safety, codes, and risk assessment of materials and processes. The role focuses on ensuring performance-based design meets code intent and supports industrial fire hazards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 2+ years designing or constructing fire protection systems.
• Working knowledge of Building & Fire Codes and NFPA standards.
• Professional Engineer license (P.E.) required or preferred.
• NICET certification in fire protection programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, calculations for fire and life safety systems.
• Verify compliance with current fire codes and system operation.
• Develop AM&M proposals to AHJ to meet code intent.
• Manage commissioning phases of life safety projects.
• Conduct inspections, audits, testing to identify deficiencies.
• Coordinate installations with facilities teams, contractors, and authorities.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory audits and records.
