Job summary

SpaceXAI in Memphis, TN is seeking a fire protection engineer to provide design support for facility life safety, fire codes, and risk assessment, with focus on materials, processes, and performance-based design.

You will deliver calculations, code documents, and field solutions onsite, collaborating with construction teams and AHJ during tests and commissioning. Applicants should have a PE license preferred, 2+ years experience, and proficiency in Revit and FDS modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of design and construction experience in fire protection systems.
• Experience in fire protection consulting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design, analysis, calculations and specs for facility fire and life safety systems.
• Develop building and fire code compliance documents for SpaceX launch facilities.
• Perform hazardous material analysis for code compliance and inventory management.
• Review shop drawings and provide design comments to contractors.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for project teams.
