Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to design, build and activate advanced facilities, focusing on life safety and fire protection. You will work within HQ construction, coordinating with architects, engineers and internal customers, driving multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Relocation to Hawthorne, CA is required. You should have a Bachelor's in engineering, 1+ years in fire protection design, and familiarity with NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 1+ years of experience in fire protection design or consulting.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and building life safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, and specifications for fire protection and life safety systems in SpaceX facilities.
• Develop code compliance documents and life safety designs for launch and production sites.
• Lead project design teams and coordinate with contractors and internal customers.
