Thomas Young Group in Dallas is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to design life-safety systems for mission-critical facilities. You will develop sprinkler, detection and suppression strategies, perform hydraulic calculations, and prepare technical reports while coordinating with MEP teams.
Candidates should have 3+ years in fire protection design, a bachelor's in a related field, knowledge of NFPA standards, and proficiency with Revit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of fire protection engineering or design experience.
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards and life-safety systems.
- Experience with hydraulic calculation and fire protection design software.
- Proficiency with Revit.
- PE/EIT licensure preferred.
Responsabilités
- Design fire protection and life-safety systems for mission-critical facilities.
- Develop sprinkler, detection and suppression systems.
- Support fire alarm design and coordination.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and hazard assessments.
- Complete equipment sizing and system analysis.
- Apply NFPA, IBC, IFC and local fire protection requirements.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications and reports.
- Coordinate with MEP and architectural teams.
- Review RFIs, submittals and construction documentation.
- Support projects through design, construction and closeout.
