Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our Fire Protection & Life Safety team. You will design fire suppression and alarm systems for complex facilities, collaborate with architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams, and produce construction documents.

Requires a Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years' experience in fire protection; PE license is preferred. Proficiency in Revit and knowledge of NFPA/IBC codes are essential; travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
• PE license in Fire Protection preferred or required.
• Familiarity with NFPA, IBC, and local fire codes.
• Proficiency in Revit for drawings and models.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection system layouts.
• Perform hydraulic calculations.
• Develop fire alarm system drawings and construction documents.
• Coordinate designs with architecture, MEP, and structural teams.
• Review codes and standards and support permitting.
