Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to own and coordinate fire protection engineering for our data-center sites. You will review sprinkler and detection designs against code, support field installations, and drive acceptance testing with AHJ sign-off to ensure safety and compliance.

You will research code questions to primary sources, coordinate with project teams, and leverage your experience in commercial or industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection engineering for commercial or industrial facilities.
• Ability to review hydraulic calculations and detection layouts for code compliance.
• Experience running acceptance tests with AHJ in the room.
• Ability to research code questions to primary sources.

Responsibilities

• Own fire protection engineering for assigned data-center sites: design review, field support, AHJ coordination.
• Review sprinkler, detection, and special hazard designs against code and reference designs.
• Support field installation and acceptance testing through AHJ sign-off.
• Answer fire protection RFIs quickly with defensible responses.
