Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to design and oversee fire protection across our data-center style projects in Austin, TX. You will review sprinkler and detection systems, coordinate with AHJs, and support field installation through commissioning.

You should have hands-on experience with commercial/industrial fire protection, be rigorous in code interpretation, and communicate findings clearly. Bonus: FPE degree or PE track, NICET certifications, and data center experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire protection on commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to review hydraulic calculations and detection layouts and catch errors.
• Experience running acceptance tests with AHJ on site.
• Ability to research code questions to primary sources, not memory.

The Capacity Delivery Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on

• Engineer gigawatts from drawing to energized, in months not years. Capacity Delivery owns technical execution across every build: the drawings, the field questions, and the engineering calls that keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving.
• Engineer data centers that go up in months, not years. At that pace rework is not an option: problems get caught on paper or they cost a data hall.
• Design it once, build it a hundred times. Every site's lessons roll into the reference design on the way to 10s to 100s of GWs, so each build starts ahead of the last.
