IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is recruiting a Fire Protection Engineer to support facilities and mission-critical operations within the Intelligence Community. You will ensure fire protection systems meet NFPA, UFC, and agency requirements.

Responsibilities include design review, field inspections, and coordination with architects, engineers, and security authorities. Requires PE license and 5+ years of relevant experience in secure government facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or closely related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a fire protection engineer.
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards (NFPA) and UFC.
  • Experience in secure, mission-critical, or government facilities.
  • Ability to review construction documents and perform field inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Design, review, and evaluate fire protection and life safety systems.
  • Perform fire hazard analyses and life safety assessments.
  • Review drawings, submittals, and shop drawings for code compliance.
  • Coordinate with project teams, architects, and AHJs as required.
  • Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
  • Support emergency planning and continuity of operations initiatives.
