Job summary

Summer Consultants, Inc. seeks passionate engineering interns to analyze building systems, focusing on life safety, fire alarm and hydraulic design.

You’ll work on renovation projects and learn how to fit equipment into existing spaces while collaborating with seasoned engineers in the Nation’s Capital Region. Gain real-world MEP/FP experience, hands-on with Revit, AutoCAD and hydraulic calc software, on a diverse client list including government and educational institutions.

Qualifications

• 2 years completed towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Survey existing conditions and contribute to life-safety and fire-alarm system design on renovation projects.
• Assist engineers with design tasks using Revit, AutoCAD and hydraulic software.
• Learn from experienced engineers in a hands-on internship environment.
