Job summary

McKinstry in Portland, OR is seeking a Fire Protection Designer I to join the Fire Protection division. You will create project files, verify required documents, perform CAD cleanup, and lay out sprinkler piping under supervision.

You should have strong communication, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, office software, and the ability to prioritize tasks and work with others. NICET Level I in water-based layout is required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create project file: Verify receipt of all required documents on checklist from Sales handoff meeting and request and track as needed.
• Perform CAD clean-up and generic layout of sprinkler piping.
• Provide material listing to Senior Designer and Pre-Construction Manager for review.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
