Job summary

Telgian is seeking a Fire Protection Consultant to provide expert fire protection consultation, support, and deliverables for clients as part of a multi-discipline team. You will advise on compliance with fire-related standards and codes, and prepare reports and project packages detailing fire prevention and life safety issues.

You will develop technical presentations, coordinate meetings, and collaborate with engineering, environmental, financial, and facilities teams to meet client

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection and/or architecture preferred.
• Knowledge of fire protection standards and codes preferred (CFPS/NICET is a plus).
• Willingness to travel 50–75% and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Establish criteria for the design of fire alarms, suppression and life safety systems.
• Review existing systems for compliance and operational functionality with recommendations.
• Develop and deliver client reports on updates to ensure compliance.
• Meet with authorities and clients to resolve compliance questions.
• Apply standard techniques to perform assigned tasks; keep knowledge current.
