The role requires a degree in fire protection engineering or related field, plus four years of professional engineering experience and ICC Fire Plans Examiner certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering or related field; proof required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate fire prevention staff and processes.
• Review plans for compliance with fire and life safety codes.
• Consult with architects and developers on fire protection systems.
• Conduct field inspections of hazardous occupancies.
• Assist in planning fire protection programs.
• Enforce fire codes and pursue enforcement actions.
• Prepare reports and responses to inquiries.
