Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States is seeking a Fire Permit Coordinator to keep fire and security projects moving by coordinating permit activity, preparing submissions, and tracking approvals with internal teams and permitting authorities.

You will work with CAD and Install teams, manage deadlines, verify compliance with local Fire Codes and NFPA requirements, and maintain accurate permit records while delivering reliable service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year degree or trade school background preferred.
• Knowledge of fire permits and local Fire Codes; NFPA understanding.

Responsibilities

• Compile data and paperwork for permits and approvals.
• Lead the permitting process for assigned projects including tracking and deadlines.
• Work with CAD and Install teams to identify required permits.
• Communicate with authorities regarding permit reviews and status.
• Research jurisdictional requirements and maintain permit records.
• Coordinate permits, approvals, and inspections to keep schedules.
• Support multiple projects while maintaining high customer service.
