Allied Universal is seeking a Fire Life Safety Inspector in Indianapolis, IN to inspect fire prevention and emergency systems, ensure readiness and risk reduction, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.

The role includes routine patrols, maintaining inspection records, and responding to incidents with professional communication. Requires driving and certification, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Certified and trained to national Fire Inspector standards as per plant and legal requirements.
• FEMA Certification ISO700.b, ISO100.c.
• 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department service.
• Proficiency with computers/tablets preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as needed.
• Ensure inspection and maintenance records for fire protection equipment comply with standards.
• Audit fire prevention and other safety programs.
• Complete scheduled fire service inspections as assigned by the Fire/Life Safety Coordinator.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate information to supervisors/site contacts.
• Conduct regular/patrols noting unusual activity and report concerns per site procedures.

As a Fire Life Safety Inspector in Indianapolis, IN, you are responsible for the inspection of fire prevention and emergency response systems with a focus on readiness and risk reduction. Our fire life safety inspector monitors and patrosl a dynamic manufacturing location, helping to support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This driving post includes routine patrols, a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and customer service focused communication. Pay Rate: $24.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Ensure inspection and maintenance records for fire protection equipment comply with customer and regulatory standards.
• Audit fire prevention and other safety programs.
• Complete scheduled fire service inspections as assigned by the Fire / Life safety Coordinator.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Certified and trained to national standards as a Fire Inspector based on plant and legal requirements.
• FEMA Certification ISO700.b, ISO100.c
• Possess 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department service.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
