Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer (Mobile Driver) in Lafayette, IN. You will patrol, monitor access, and assist employees and visitors while delivering high quality customer service in a manufacturing and industrial setting.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift light loads. Training, benefits, and career growth opportunities are provided within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Driver in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related needs with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and a people-first approach.

Pay Rate: $18.51 / Hour

• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, access control, and other security‑related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
