Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Fire Life Safety Director for a corporate building in Midtown, Manhattan. The position is part-time with Evening, Overnight and Morning shifts, and a pay rate of $30.00 per hour.

You will implement the building's fire safety plan, supervise fire wardens and the fire brigade, coordinate with the NYC Fire Department during emergencies, and ensure life-safety systems, drills, and reporting are maintained to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and public.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and property by implementing the fire safety plan.
• Manage the Fire Command Station and supervise fire wardens.
• Serve as liaison to the NYC Fire Department during emergencies.
• Ensure life-safety systems and equipment are fully functional.
• Conduct fire drills and maintain logs of critiques.
• Provide directions to visitors, vendors, and employees during emergencies.
• Assist security with badge checks to prevent unauthorized access.
• Monitor surveillance and report suspicious persons or packages.
• Perform CPR/AED and basic first aid if required.
