Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Fire Life Safety Director to oversee an Alternative Housing Facility. The role leads the Fire Command Station, supervises fire wardens and the evacuation team, and liaises with the NYC Fire Department during emergencies.

The position is part-time with night shifts (11pm–7am). The candidate must hold F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness (NY), be at least 18, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, plus the ability to prepare logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness (NY Only).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background check and drug/alcohol test required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Fire Life Safety Station and the fire brigade.
• Supervise floor wardens and building evacuation teams.
• Act as liaison to NYC Fire Department during emergencies.
• Conduct fire drills and log critiques for improvements.
• Provide clear information to clients, visitors and staff during emergencies.
