Job summary

Doyle Security Services is seeking a vigilant security officer to observe and report activities at client sites, perform routine patrols, and help maintain order and safety for people and property.

The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, strong communication skills, and basic computer proficiency. NY licenses in fire/security are preferred, with overtime and weekend shifts common.

Qualifications

• Valid NY FDNY Fire Life Safety Director License (T-89 or F89).
• Valid NYS Security Guard License; Hotel FLSD experience preferred.
• Associate or higher degree in fire/security field preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Multiple tours of the facility during your shift.
• Operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• Assist residents/customers with access control issues.
• Tour the entire facility multiple times per shift.

Overview

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Pay Range

Up to USD $30.00/Hr.

• Associate or higher degree in a fire/security related field. (Preferred not required)
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
• Protective security experience a plusTechnical working knowledge of building systems.
