Rural Metro Fire is hiring an Industrial Fire Lieutenant to lead a shift, coordinate firefighting and EMS support, and ensure safety and efficiency in incident response. The role emphasizes strong leadership, adherence to procedures, and active participation in training and CQI initiatives.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, NFPA Firefighter I with HazMat OPS, EMT certification, CPR/AED, and completion of NIMS IC courses. Must be prepared to work varying shifts and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid state Driver’s License is required.
• Current NFPA 1001 Firefighter I with Hazardous Materials-Operations.
• Current Advanced EMT certification.
• Current CPR/AED.
• Completion of NIMS IC-100, 200, 700, and 800.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise assigned shift personnel.
• Provide leadership to meet department goals and objectives.
• Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with department policies.
• Coordinate daily logs, emergency calls, overtime, and injury reports.
• Respond to alarms and manage incident command as officer.
• Lead training sessions and coordinate department training.
• Conduct fire inspections and supervise shift inspections.
• Contribute to CQI programs and fire safety demonstrations.
