Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in fire science or related field– preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of fire prevention and fire inspections, or other inspection field
• General knowledge of industrial, commercial, and non-commercial plan checking, fire prevention inspections, code enforcement, or building trades and construction as related to fire prevention - strongly preferred.
• Experience in fire operations - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and enforcement activities of public, commercial, industrial, residential and other buildings/properties to ensure compliance with the IFC, NRS, NAC, and related regulations.
• Participate in and provide public educational fire and life safety awareness programs.
